Lamb chops plate da best. The cucumber yoghurt side is perfect combination with the plate.
Finally tried this place. We ordered the chicken breast shish kabob and it was very tasty and good. This is my number one from now on. Keep up the good work
I found Mini Kabob a few years from a food critic I follow who works for the LA Times. And, since I grew up in Glendale, I try to support small businesses whenever possible. Let me sum up by saying every time my daughter and son-in-law visit from San Diego, or my youngest daughter flies down from Seattle, they always make it a point to order food from Mini Kabob during their visit. I love it too which is how the three of them were introduced to Mini Kabob. We consistently receive a great meal from here which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Armen cares deeply about the food he serves and it shows. And, speaking of Armen, it seems like he's everywhere because we've run into him at MidEast Tacos (his newest place in Silver Lake) too on multiple occasions. Parking isn't the greatest and there are a few seats in front of the restaurant to eat there. That's a minor inconvenience to us because we order take out. You do want to call ahead to place your order because when they run out of something, that's it for the day.
My family and I have been going here for years. Lovely family restaurant, and amazing service. Great food as well, whenever we're in LA we always have to go.
I had heard so much about this place and really wanted to try it. I don't frequent the Glendale area, one time I tried to order they were closed for Eats Con. I tried again another weekend and they were open! I called in my order around 4pm, really wanting to try out the secret potatoes. Sadly they were sold out for the day. But still excited to try out their kabob plates. I was told our order would take an hour. Upon pick up I got to meet Armen, very friendly. He let me know there are a lot of exciting new dishes to come for Mini Kabob and to be on the lookout. We ordered the Beef & Chicken Combo and Ground Chicken Lule Kabob Plate. They were delicious and flavorful. My only complaint is that there wasn't more meat. I wish there was a way to order more kabobs ala carte, without the rice.
Finally got the chance to try this place out, and so glad that I did. Unless you knew this spot was here, you would not run into it by accident given that it's in a small street in Glendale, about a 7 minute walk to Americana. I got there at around 1:20PM on a Saturday and made my order at the front. I was given a heads up that it would take around 40 minutes for the food to be ready, and when I added an order of their fries, they warned me it would take longer as they are made at the moment. Given the proximity to the mall, you can wait for your food while doing some shopping, which is what I did. I would instead place an order ahead of time by calling so that the food is ready by the time I get there next time. I got their chicken Lule plate, combo plate, and their off-the-menu potatoes. All of their plates are made from scratch and come with a good amount of lavash bread, garlic sauce, rice, hummus, a tomato and a jalapeño. The combo plate comes with chicken lule, pork tenderloin, and chicken tigh, so I would recommend this if you like to mix it up a bit in terms of your protein. I have to say that all of their meats were super juice and cooked perfectly. My personal favorite was the chicken lule, and I'm curious to try their beef lule next time. The jalapeño does have a nice kick, so beware. The rice wasn't too flavorful, but as long as you're eating it with the tasty meats, you should be good. The potatoes were very nicely seasoned, and I loved the thinner slices which came out with a nice crisp. I'd love to try their eggplant caviar next time as well! Seating is limited as there is literally one table out front that can sit maybe 6 people comfortably. Most people do take outs, but if you order the potatoes, you should definitely eat those right away as the owner suggested we did when we sat down. You'll be lucky to find street parking, and make sure to bring cash as they don't accept credit cards. Try to call in ahead of time in order to avoid 30min+ wait.
One bite and you'll get why this place has so many fans. How they get so much flavor into their kebabs is a mystery to me. It's garlicky and salty and there seems to be some kind of chili and maybe a hint of citrus? Whatever it is, it's delicious. And while the kebabs are clearly the stars here, the salads are also not to be missed, especially the Shirazi. Really though, it doesn't matter what you get, at Mini Kabob it's all going to be exceptionally good. Enjoy!
Literally the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. We were greeted warmly and once I ordered, I was lucky enough to get a seat at the community table. They don't really have seating except a picnic table outdoors. The food is so delicious and the hummus is unbelievable.
Best place I've ever been to for beef and chicken kebab!! Food was amazing, really good QUALITY!! The food was served fresh and we got some hefty plates! It's definitely a little bit more on the pricier side: I got the beef and chicken plate, the combo plate and they're off the menu potatoes!!! Total was about $75-ish. Seasoning, tenderness, flavor, and the amount of food I got was absolutely amazing! Definitely check this place out if you want GREAT QUALITY food! The owner was very kind and super personable. Parking is slightly a hassle and limited. The neighborhood is quite crowded and there's a mini table for people to eat at, but you may need to find another place to eat. This was also a CASH ONLY location, but don't let that deter you from visiting this place. Check them out!!!
This is by far one of the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. This place is such a gem and I am only sad that I haven't found it earlier. There is only table outside so you will most likely do take out. Try to call in or order online because the wait can be up to an hour (cash only). We got the combo plate that comes with chicken thigh, chicken lule, and pork tenderloin. The pork was good and tender but the chicken was out of this world. The thighs were well seasoned and went perfectly with the garlic sauce. The chicken lule was juicy and flavorful and made the perfect wrap with the lavash bread. Need to come back and try everything.
